The Business Development Representative serves as the key business development and customer management function for Pilot Thomas Logistics (PTL). This position will be accountable for delivering specific sales objectives that are consistent with the overall sales strategy of PTL.
Essential Responsibilities:- Operate at all times in a safe manner and in compliance with all PTL safety policies.
- Maintain a safe driving record.
- Takes responsibility to ensure all PTL team members are working in a safe environment.
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for:
- Achieving sales objectives set by Regional Sales Manager.
- Developing new customers for PTL.
- Achieving sales targets.
- Maximizing gross margin through market pricing and value selling.
- Executing sales strategies for Key Accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of:
- Developing a "trusted advisor" relationship with customers.
- Being the PTL expert for customers by understanding all aspects of the PTL business and delivery of energy products to the field.
- Understanding customer business objectives and determining how PTL can help them achieve their goals.
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for:
- Providing accurate updates to PTL sales leadership and to the PTL Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tool regarding sales forecasts.
- Developing plans to execute specific sales activities to deliver on their forecast.
- Utilizing sales methodology that PTL has deployed within the business.
- Following internal sales processes for the development of pricing and contracts.
- Understanding and operating within the delegation of authority.
The Business Development Representative will work closely with:
- Key Account Executives.
- Regional Sales Managers.
- Marketing team members.
- Senior Leadership.
