About Our Payer Strategy & Contracting Division

Our Payer Strategy & Contracting Division assists clients in navigating the complexities of payer strategy formulation, reimbursement assessments, contract negotiations, and various strategic and operational challenges impacting revenue from both commercial and government sources. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping clients refine their managed care strategies and create effective value-based reimbursement agreements.

Your Role: Senior Consultant

In the capacity of a Senior Consultant at ECG, you will be a vital contributor to our consulting team. You will collaborate with some of the industry's top professionals to achieve your professional aspirations while making a meaningful impact on the lives of others. Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating client presentations.
  • Leading data collection initiatives.
  • Conducting interviews with stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the formulation and management of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Overseeing project management activities.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data to guide client recommendations.
  • Employing financial modeling techniques for comprehensive analyses and actionable strategy proposals.
  • Defining project objectives and deliverables.
  • Guiding teams in the implementation of recommended solutions.
  • Managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • Communicating project updates and soliciting feedback.
  • Identifying opportunities for follow-on work and assisting in scoping and securing additional engagements.
  • Collaborating closely with various project teams and senior consulting leaders.
  • Presenting findings to executive-level clients.
  • Taking ownership of project results.
  • Maintaining effective communication with management and client executives.
  • Gaining insights into ECG's comprehensive solutions and identifying those that align with your interests.
  • Contributing to the development and advancement of peers and junior staff.
  • Exhibiting the ability to thrive in consulting while balancing professional and personal commitments.

Expectations:
  • Deep understanding and enthusiasm for the healthcare sector.
  • Master's degree in business administration or a health-related discipline; a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare consulting, particularly in managed care contracting and reimbursement strategies.
  • Proven ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative capabilities.
  • History of delivering exceptional client service.
  • Demonstrated career growth with increasing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time.
