Procurement Strategy Analyst

Position Overview:
The Procurement Strategy Analyst is tasked with becoming a subject matter expert (SME) for designated cross-categorical contracts. Within a short timeframe, a selection of agreements from our portfolio will be allocated to the Analyst. This role entails independent management of ongoing contracts, crafting effective contract strategies, nurturing supplier relationships, and assessing agreements for potential improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance business stakeholder utilization and meet budget objectives.
- Maintain the viability of assigned agreements by evaluating the potential for amendments, including term extensions and service enhancements.
- Review and negotiate supplier-proposed changes independently as necessary.
The Analyst will contribute to budget development for the assigned categories and oversee the performance of the designated portfolio. A thorough understanding of contract terms and conditions is essential for negotiating new agreement terms. The Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify issues and propose solutions.
Project Management:
The Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining project plans for assigned initiatives. This includes gathering business requirements to create RFP/RFI/RFQ documents, identifying stakeholder needs, drafting RFP documents, and distributing them to selected suppliers. The Analyst will evaluate shortlisted suppliers based on their Best and Final Offer (BAFO) and present final findings to stakeholders for feedback.
RFP Development:
During the RFP development phase, the Analyst must grasp the project scope and evaluation criteria. Responsibilities include establishing the bidding process, creating scorecards, compiling results, and providing final scores to business stakeholders. Engaging selected suppliers through the execution of NDAs is also a critical component of this role, ensuring confidentiality prior to sharing sensitive information.
Additional Support:
The Procurement Strategy Analyst will assist other areas within the organization by conducting research, evaluations, and preparing presentations. As required, the Analyst will support various sourcing and procurement tasks as directed by management, utilizing proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and generating reports from relevant tools and platforms.
