Job Summary

The Providence Center is a leading provider of mental health services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant Bilingual to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant Bilingual, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect demographic data, verify insurance coverage, and collect fees as necessary.
  • Interact with Access/Intake staff to facilitate the pre-admission process.
  • Enter and confirm all demographic and insurance information.
  • Determine and collect deductibles and co-pay, as appropriate.
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls from outside agencies, insurance companies, staff, and consumers.
  • Refer to the appropriate staff member, service component, or community resource.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma with a business background and two years' experience with third-party reimbursement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish language skills.
  • The ability to multitask and work in an extremely busy environment.
  • Excellent typing skills, spelling, and grammar.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • General computer experience.
