ROLE SUMMARY:

The Project Executive for Owner's Representation is accountable for nurturing the client relationship and overseeing the project lifecycle from initial estimate development through to project completion and closeout. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Venue Planning and entails the management of construction projects on behalf of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Overseeing project organization, scheduling, execution, and finalization.
  • Developing and managing budget planning and cost estimation processes.
  • Supervising the entitlement, design, and construction phases of projects.
  • Providing precise estimates for necessary supplies, labor, and resources.
  • Collaborating with in-house operations experts to enhance design input.
  • Managing procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for facilities.
  • Delivering timely budget forecasts to align with project requirements while adhering to financial constraints.
  • Generating reports on work progress, costs, and scheduling metrics.
  • Communicating project goals and expectations to all stakeholders and documenting outcomes.
  • Tracking project milestones and tasks for management and stakeholder reporting.
  • Preparing internal and external updates regarding project status.
  • Proactively planning to mitigate potential issues and resolving any that arise.
  • Ensuring compliance with building and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborating closely with Project Managers and Coordinators to ensure accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Drafting scopes of work and negotiating subcontract agreements.
  • Reviewing construction documents and contracts for accuracy.
  • Managing payment applications and construction draw schedules.
  • Ensuring the safe execution of all project activities.
  • Enhancing systems and processes for construction management services.
  • Finalizing invoicing upon project completion efficiently and accurately.
  • Upholding quality construction and safety standards.
  • Performing additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in construction management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Strong planning skills for large-scale, multi-faceted projects.
  • Decisive in selecting subcontractors, materials, and resources.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse interactions.
  • Knowledgeable in construction methodologies and blueprint interpretation.
  • Deadline-oriented to ensure timely project progression.
  • Competent in conflict resolution and crisis management.
  • Experience managing projects exceeding $60,000 in value.
  • Solid understanding of construction management processes.
  • Familiarity with construction management software tools.
  • Adept at strategic planning and maintaining a holistic view of projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of building products, construction details, and applicable regulations.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds to waist height.
  • Capacity to sit or stand for extended periods, with the ability to squat, stoop, or bend as necessary.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer.
  • This role typically operates in an office environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% as required.
