Job Summary

As a Field Service Technician with TDS Telecom, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our telecommunications products and services. Your primary responsibility will be to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment, including telephone systems, data networks, and video equipment. You will work closely with customers to identify and resolve technical issues, provide exceptional customer service, and promote TDS Telecom's products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment, including telephone systems, data networks, and video equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with customers to identify and resolve technical issues, providing solutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
  • Promote TDS Telecom's products and services, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with customers, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
