Job Summary:

Clinical Laboratory Coordinators play a crucial role in the success of clinical research studies. As a key member of the research team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory procedures, including specimen collection, processing, and shipping. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specimen Management: Collect, process, and store specimens according to protocol requirements, ensuring integrity and accuracy.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of specimen collection, processing, and shipping, as well as laboratory equipment maintenance.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Ensure timely and accurate shipping of specimens to central lab vendors.
  • Lab Kit Inventory and Maintenance: Manage lab kit inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain accurate temperature logs for refrigerators and freezers, and ensure necessary maintenance on laboratory equipment.

Work Environment:

This role is located on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO, and requires on-site work.
