Job Summary

The Medical Center of Aurora is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Cath Lab team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our Cath Lab department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the Cath Lab department during designated shifts.
  • Function as a resource person for staff members and assist in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff.
  • Assume responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided when on duty.
  • Make decisions regarding activities with these areas based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Standards of Care for the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
Requirements
  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • ACLS required.
  • Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of the Cath Lab department preferred.
  • Six months leadership/management experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous ER or ICU experience preferred.
  • Previous charge position preferred.
