Job Overview:
Clinical Research Coordinators engage in research activities that may encompass patient-centered studies or investigations involving human participants. These studies may focus on understanding human diseases, exploring therapeutic options, conducting clinical trials, or innovating new technologies. Additionally, Clinical Research Coordinators may support epidemiological studies, behavioral research, and health services evaluations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the daily functions of clinical trials and research studies.
- Gather medical histories and current medication details from study participants, assess research protocol criteria, and verify participant eligibility for clinical trials.
- Facilitate the informed consent process, ensuring it is properly documented and that consent forms are maintained as required.
- Conduct interviews with potential participants for various clinical research trials, providing them with comprehensive information about the studies through phone and in-person interactions.
- Coordinate participant scheduling for research trials, ensuring the availability of necessary facilities and clinical support staff (e.g., physicians, nurse practitioners, laboratory personnel, radiology, pharmacy).
- Collect, categorize, and analyze research data accurately and promptly.
- Comply with all regulatory standards governing research practices.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for four days per week on campus, with additional in-person meetings as necessary.
