Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Specialist, Facilities to join our team at Nightwing. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities meet all operational standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of facilities, including cost estimation and feasibility studies.
  • Review and inspect projects to guarantee compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair activities to ensure optimal functionality of facilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security and safety across multiple locations.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of capital expenditure projects related to facility improvements.
  • Organize and manage activities related to the maintenance, renovation, and repair of facilities.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles to improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee various projects utilizing standard project management methodologies.
  • Support preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, reporting any issues encountered.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, facilitating repairs as necessary.
  • Participate in root cause analysis to identify issues and assist in developing corrective actions.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and EHS guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily operations and activities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an advanced degree with 3 years of experience or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree is acceptable.
  • Must be a U.S. Person or eligible for necessary export authorizations.
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management is required.
  • Proficiency in Delta V programming for a minimum of 2 years is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in facilities management within an aerospace or manufacturing context is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting PLC systems (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) is preferred.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM tools is a plus.
  • Project coordination and management experience is desirable.
  • Background in maintenance of industrial machinery is beneficial.
