As a Principal Specialist, Facilities within our dynamic team, you will be responsible for implementing necessary modifications in accordance with facility or equipment specifications and adhering to organizational or governmental regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in preliminary assessments, including conceptual cost estimation, feasibility studies, and sustainability evaluations.
  • Conduct inspections or reviews of projects to verify adherence to safety codes and regulations, ensuring a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate in planning and scheduling maintenance and repair activities to maintain optimal functionality of facilities.
  • Work within cross-functional teams to uphold building security and safety across various locations.
  • Assist in capital expenditure planning and the execution of organization-wide projects.
  • Organize and schedule activities related to maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of facilities and assets.
  • Support and apply Lean manufacturing principles and initiatives.
  • Manage diverse projects utilizing standard project management methodologies.
  • Oversee regular preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, reporting any identified issues.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system problems independently or with guidance from Engineering or Facilities Management.
  • Participate in root cause analysis to identify issues and assist in implementing corrective measures.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of daily activities.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of Delta V programming experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous facilities experience in an aerospace or manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) is advantageous.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM systems is preferred.
  • Project Coordination/Management experience is a plus.
  • Background in maintenance of manufacturing or industrial machinery is beneficial.
