Tool Crib Inventory Control Attendant
As a Tool Crib Inventory Control Attendant at Power Plant Services, you will play a crucial role in managing the Tooling and Stock Parts Inventory of the organization. Your responsibilities will include the distribution, collection, and maintenance of tools and tooling related to manufacturing processes, along with keeping meticulous records of tool transactions. To excel in this position, you should possess strong organizational skills, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various departments including Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, and Purchasing to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribute and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment to personnel.
- Review and validate the fulfillment of Vendor Managed Inventory in Vending Machines.
- Maintain a perpetual inventory of tools, tooling, and stock inventory utilizing computer systems.
- Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment, while reviewing stock levels to create requisitions for inventory replenishment. This may include marking and identifying tools and equipment using identification tags or stamps.
- Inspect tools and tooling for damage or wear, locate lost or misplaced items, and collect tools at the end of shifts as necessary.
- Ensure a clean and organized Tool Crib Area while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain an accurate log of daily transactions, scanning inventory, and performing precise counts.
- Assist the Shipping and Receiving Department as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock.
- Background in receiving, stocking, pulling, packing, and loading materials.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and urgency.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Manufacturing Tool Crib responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Capability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Forklift Certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferred.
