JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS
Position Overview
- Act as the primary contact for escalated inquiries and service recovery efforts.
- Manage appointment scheduling and ensure smooth workflow processes.
- Accurately verify and enter patient details in a timely manner.
- Provide Good Faith Estimates and confirm insurance eligibility.
- Discuss payment options with patients and facilitate payment collection.
- Engage in process enhancement initiatives and community outreach programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; Associate's Degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector is essential; familiarity with Epic systems is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical in approach.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and adept in call center protocols.
Certifications
- Certification as a Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) is required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift and carry items.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
