Senior IT Business Analyst

Position Summary
The University Hospitals IT Business Analyst - Senior IT Specialist will serve as a liaison between IT and business service lines, providing application configuration support to enhance departmental operational efficiencies and workflow needs.
Key Responsibilities:
\u2022 Supports major enterprise applications and others as assigned.
\u2022 Leads design of business workflow in conjunction with business units, providing guidance to Application Analysts in designing improved efficiencies and solving complex workflow issues.
\u2022 Leads needs assessment, software design, implementation, support, and reporting.
\u2022 Leads unit and integrated testing of software to ensure design objectives are met.
\u2022 Identifies complex testing scenarios, develops test scripts, and validates testing results.
\u2022 Maintains high degree of understanding of departments' business processes.
\u2022 Owns specific functionality and processes, responsible for all configuration, testing, and communication regarding this functionality/process.
\u2022 Troubleshoots application issues, without assistance, to resolution.
\u2022 Troubleshoots system hardware, as needed.
\u2022 Partners with end users to understand workflow and business processes.
\u2022 Oversees system security for assigned applications.
\u2022 Manages Disaster Recovery and Back Up requirements for assigned systems and provides guidance to Applications Analysts in activities.
\u2022 Acts as team project lead in partnership with Project Management Office on all phases of a project, from scoping and design through implementation and transition to Operations.
\u2022 Mentors Application Analysts.
\u2022 Produces and maintains custom reports, maintaining knowledge and experience with industry standard report writers such as Crystal Reports.
\u2022 Reviews and approves end-user training materials and participates in training efforts.
\u2022 Guides other team members to ensure high documentation standards.
\u2022 Leads escalation of issues with appropriate resources.
\u2022 Develops policies and procedures in collaboration with business unit, other team members, and IT management team.
\u2022 Independently manages components of application upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and support efforts.
\u2022 Supports/troubleshoots inbound/outbound interfaces as appropriate.
\u2022 Creates reports as needed and works problem tickets.
\u2022 Evaluates and maintains appropriate system documentation.
\u2022 Collaborates with other application and clinical analysts to ensure system integrations.
\u2022 Serves as primary customer contact for on and off hours application support (rotating schedule).
\u2022 Participates in change management activities to support successful system deployments and enhancements.
\u2022 Utilizes and maintains appropriate change control procedures and standards.
\u2022 Creates reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools to support customer base.
\u2022 Prepares detailed flowcharts/diagrams to assist with design decisions and problem analysis.
\u2022 Leads design of business workflow in conjunction with business departments, focusing on improved efficiencies and incorporating quality initiatives.
\u2022 Assists with data collection from business subject matter experts to facilitate design representing improved business workflow.
\u2022 Performs other duties as assigned.
