The Senior Vice President of Fundraising will lead, motivate, and implement the core fundraising initiatives in the Metro Atlanta area, including major events such as the Heart Ball, Heart Walk, and Go Red For Women Luncheon. This leader will champion the vision of transforming the Metro Atlanta market into a $10M fundraising hub.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Vice President to manage key donor relationships, ensuring their engagement and strategizing on enhancing their contributions.
  • Assist in prospecting and onboarding mid to large companies, ensuring exceptional service and management of the Top 25 Prospect List.
  • Take charge of positioning the market for substantial growth in unrestricted revenue by developing a robust fundraising team and cultivating volunteer leadership.
  • Oversee the execution of strategic priorities, staff management, and volunteer engagement initiatives.
  • Meet financial objectives while managing multiple revenue streams.
  • Drive business development and expand partnerships that support the mission of the American Heart Association.
  • Enhance overall market revenue by applying best practices identified by the organization.
  • Work closely with market development staff to foster new company growth and leadership engagement.
  • Promote a collaborative work environment that values trust, teamwork, and diversity.
  • Ensure the maintenance of transformational leadership for core campaigns and events.
  • Partner with regional and national colleagues to provide expertise and support for fundraising events.
  • Engage in community and corporate events to build networking opportunities.
  • Travel within the market for donor and partner engagements.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fundraising or sales.
  • Experience in building effective teams of staff and volunteers is preferred.
  • Proven track record of setting and exceeding ambitious goals.
  • Ability to inspire others through a shared vision.
  • A degree from a university or college is preferred.
  • Skilled in developing and executing strategic plans in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including experience in presentations and report writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel locally, requiring reliable transportation.
