The Medical Scheduling Coordinator plays a vital role in our customer care operations, managing scheduling requirements to connect clients with appropriate healthcare providers and services.

Compensation Overview:

The initial compensation for this role is set at $17.50 per hour, determined by various non-discriminatory factors including experience and skill level.

Responsibilities:

Below is a summary of the key responsibilities associated with this position:

  • Handle incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Assess caller needs by verifying identity and the purpose of the call to ensure efficient resolution
  • Determine scheduling requirements by reviewing information in the electronic health record system
  • Utilize the CNS Healthcare scheduling system to arrange appointments for clients with providers
  • Coordinate transportation services for clients as necessary
  • Monitor scheduling communications to ensure timely follow-up and service coordination
  • Support clinical staff by notifying them of scheduling changes for clients
  • Follow up on assigned tasks, including rescheduling missed appointments
  • Update information in the electronic health record system as required
  • Maintain compliance with established policies, HIPAA standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Uphold CNS Healthcare's customer service standards in all interactions
  • Reference and maintain up-to-date agency resources for effective call handling
  • Provide coverage and assistance for other customer care functions as needed
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • At least 1 year of experience in an office environment
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in a diverse setting
  • Proficiency in data entry, word processing, and telephone communication
  • Ability to think proactively and take initiative
  • Discretion and judgment in handling sensitive information
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a medical office environment
  • Familiarity with behavioral health and substance use disorder services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Bilingual abilities
