Position Overview

Salary:
The Lead Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the Capital and Site Services categories, focusing on the development, implementation, and execution of a sourcing strategy that aligns with market dynamics, organizational requirements, and resource availability. This role involves managing supplier relationships, collaborating with manufacturing, project management, and operational teams. The ideal candidate will possess strategic thinking capabilities, exceptional negotiation skills, and a comprehensive understanding of procurement methodologies in intricate settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate Supply Strategies that are in harmony with corporate goals and prevailing market conditions.
  • Employ negotiation expertise to secure advantageous terms and sustainable contracts with suppliers.
  • Oversee RFx processes by directing the preparation and distribution of RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs to effectively identify suitable suppliers.
  • Discover cost-reduction opportunities and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives within Site Services and Capital.
  • Negotiate contractual agreements by applying knowledge of legal principles.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, project management, and operations teams to enhance procurement processes and facilitate project timelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a procurement role, ideally within the chemical or a related sector.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in contract management, construction, or procurement related to engineering.
  • Familiarity with Capital Expenditure (Capex) projects, including collaboration with engineering firms.
