The Procurement Specialist will oversee the creation and management of purchase orders, conduct cost evaluations, and handle supplier relations to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. This role involves updating and maintaining management reports and ERP supply chain data, as well as monitoring inventory levels and contributing to the development of inventory management strategies and processes. The Procurement Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality and standards for ASSA ABLOY's final products.

Key Responsibilities:

Position Focus

  • Management of Purchase Orders: Create, Monitor, Adjust
  • Conduct Cost/Value Evaluations on suppliers' products and services, including RFQ processes
  • Actively engage in negotiations for all purchased components and materials
  • Establish and nurture key supplier relationships
  • Research and propose new suppliers to enhance cost, performance, and quality
  • Oversee and assess supplier performance
  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams regarding non-conforming materials, resolving issues to meet both customer and company expectations
  • Prepare management reports and documentation
  • Coordinate with accounting and suppliers to address invoice discrepancies, ensuring alignment between contractual purchase orders and invoices
  • Facilitate transitions of suppliers and products
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment that demands urgency in addressing the needs of both internal and external customers
  • Other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities

  • Track Stock Outs and Monitor Inventory Levels
  • Manage material and inventory levels through support of forecasting, planning, and inventory analysis
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and workshops to convey and gather information necessary for job functions
Qualifications and Skills

  1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  2. 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management
  3. APICS Certification is a plus
  4. Strong analytical and decision-making skills in forecasting, planning, and inventory management.
  5. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  6. Exceptional negotiation skills.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Able to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  9. Understanding of cost reduction strategies and initiatives.
  10. Previous relevant experience is preferred.
