Job Summary

We're looking for a skilled Field Sales Representative to join our team. As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for determining and presenting the appropriate 'Grainger Value Proposition' to each account and reviewing how Grainger can add value and help with each account's purchasing needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a territory plan that optimizes call routes, maximizes time in the field, and ensures you are delivering a sales plan that meets performance targets.
  • Maintain account and customer contact and record follow-up details in Grainger's CRM.
  • Take a proactive approach to increasing sales with each account while using a wide array of available communication channels to maximize their purchasing with Grainger through all of Grainger's sales/service channels.
  • Be responsive to customers' real-time needs and grow revenue to reported thresholds.
  • Achieve or exceed shared metrics of daily calls, customer face-time minutes, and report accurate information on overall results of customer interactions.
  • Identify opportunities, negotiate sales, manage needs, and cost requirements.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of sales experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED, two or four-year degree.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel and have occasional overnights (dependent on territory).
