LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Medicine Specialty Clinic
About the Role:
OU Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Medicine Specialty Clinic. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
• Administer medications safely under the direction of physicians or other medical personnel
• Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to drugs and treatments to physicians
• Provide care according to established nursing plans
• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to patients' health or situations
• Ensure accurate and timely patient chart entries and forward charts as necessary
• Communicate systematically with other care providers
• Assist in coordinating care delivery and utilize resources to promote the continuum of care
• Employ strategies to promote health in a safe environment
• Document progress toward attaining outcomes
• Use quality and evidence-based practice to deliver and improve care
Requirements:
• Completion of educational requirements for NCLEX-PN examination
• Current LPN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact LPN License (eNLC) required
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
