Job Title: LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Medicine Stepdown/Intermediate- Nights - Part-time

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medicine Stepdown/Intermediate unit at OU Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LPN will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and performing various nursing procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with nursing assessments, data collection, and vital sign monitoring
  • Provide care according to established nursing plans and protocols
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to supervisory personnel
  • Administer medications and perform various nursing procedures as ordered by physicians
  • Prepare patients for physical examinations and assist physicians during exams
Requirements:
  • Current LPN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact LPN license (eNLC)
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
  • One or more years of experience as an LPN, preferably in a medical-surgical setting
