LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Ambulatory General Internal Medicine
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at OU Health's General Internal Medicine Clinic. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Administer medications safely under the direction of a physician or other medical personnel.
- Observe, record, and report patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
- Provide care according to an established nursing plan.
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Ensure patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely manner and forwarding charts as appropriate.
- Communicate systematic report to other care providers.
- Assist in the coordination of care delivery; utilize resources to promote the continuum of care.
- Employ strategies to promote health in a safe environment.
- Document progress toward the attainment of outcomes.
- Use quality and evidence-based practice to deliver and improve care.
- Triage telephone calls for referral to other clinical team members.
- Completion of educational requirements for NCLEX-PN examination.
- Current LPN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact LPN License (eNLC) required.
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
