Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Planning Specialist to enhance our community engagement initiatives. This role involves organizing and executing one event each month, focusing on building connections between our staff and the families of the children in our care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating enjoyable and impactful experiences that strengthen community ties.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, organize, and implement one engaging event monthly for staff and families associated with our childcare services.
  • Work closely with leadership to brainstorm and formulate event concepts that reflect our organizational values and objectives.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, scheduling, catering, and procurement of necessary materials.
  • Disseminate event information and expectations to participants through various communication methods.
  • Ensure seamless execution of events, proactively addressing any challenges and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from attendees to enhance the quality and relevance of future events.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in event coordination or planning is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously and juggle multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Innovative mindset with a commitment to fostering community involvement.
  • Adaptability to various event themes and requirements.

Work Hours and Compensation:

  • This is a part-time role, requiring around 8 hours of work each month.
  • The compensation for this position ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, based on experience.
