We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our team in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences at the University of Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and extension activities related to turfgrass breeding and research.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in turfgrass science and related areas
- Conduct research in turfgrass breeding and genetics, with a focus on developing new cultivars and improving existing ones
- Develop and implement extension programs to transfer research findings to stakeholders in the turfgrass industry
- Collaborate with other faculty members and industry partners to advance the field of turfgrass science
- Ph.D. in turfgrass science, plant breeding, or a related field
- Experience in turfgrass breeding and research, with a strong publication record
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
