Position Overview: The University of Georgia is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Associate/Full Professor - CAED Program Coordinator within the Department of CAES Ag & Applied Economics. This position is pivotal in leading extension programs and applied research initiatives that address the needs of agricultural stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities: The selected candidate will coordinate extension programs and lead the Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development (CAED). Key responsibilities include:

1. Providing timely information and support to county agents and producers.
2. Conducting training sessions for county agents.
3. Developing annual enterprise budgets and conducting economic analyses.
4. Engaging with county meetings and collaborating with Extension Agents.

Additionally, the faculty member will conduct applied research, publish findings in reputable journals, and contribute to popular media communications. Teaching responsibilities include offering one course per academic year and advising students at both undergraduate and graduate levels.


Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Applied Economics, or a closely related field. To qualify for the rank of Associate Professor, a minimum of five years in rank at the Assistant Professor level is required, while candidates for Professor must have five years at the Associate Professor level.

Preferred Skills: A strong understanding of US and southeastern production agriculture is advantageous. Candidates with experience in client relations, project management, and team leadership are highly desirable. Proficiency in quantitative methods and effective communication skills are essential.
