Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Cost Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for developing and managing project financial strategies, working closely with project managers to manage project budgets, costs, change orders, and forecasts. You will also be responsible for generating and maintaining reports that provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with project disciplines to ensure understanding of total project cost budget allowances and targets.
- Review project documents and specifications to accurately identify, develop, and track requests for change orders, baseline estimates, and potential risk exposures.
- Work closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate integration of all information needed for billings, payment applications, change orders, direct costs, labor costs, and other financial aspects.
- Communicate effectively with project management teams, executive management personnel, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and maintain cost engineering, cost estimation, cost analysis, and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or proposal estimating activities.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, consistency, and transparency in all cost management deliverables.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of project development stages, procurement, project controls, and construction execution practices.
- Working knowledge of applicable computer software such as PMWeb or similar project portfolio management software, data serve, Excel, JDE, and other relevant tools.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to deliver results-oriented solutions.
- PMP certification is highly desirable.
