Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all facets of external sales within a designated territory.
  • Build and sustain business relationships with pivotal clients in that region.
  • Establish enduring connections with customers, including executive-level engagement.
  • Set strategic goals and objectives, driving revenue through market development, forecasting, lead generation, qualification, follow-up, and closing sales.
  • Enhance the existing sales base through consistent performance, fostering rapport with current and prospective clients; articulating product and service capabilities; addressing objections; and preparing proposals and quotations.
  • Deliver solutions and serve as a dependable resource for your customer base.
  • Collaborate with Product Specialists, Customer Service teams, and Engineers to share information and identify opportunities, qualifying accounts to expand product sales.
  • Engage with factory representatives to boost revenue for key product lines.
  • Continuously learn about new products based on key vendor initiatives and identify additional value-add opportunities.
  • Conduct sales calls, product demonstrations, and other developmental activities to enhance market share of preferred channel partners.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • A technical college degree, coupled with a minimum of five years of experience in industrial distribution sales or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated technical and/or mechanical aptitude.
  • Three years of experience in factory automation, specifically in Machine Control, Motion Control, Safety, and Robotics.
  • Ability to lead, educate, and mentor colleagues in specific areas of product or sales expertise.
  • Proven skills in problem-solving to assist customers and support sales personnel.
  • Track record of achieving year-over-year sales growth targets.
  • LOTO certified or willingness to obtain certification within the first three months of employment.
  • Capability to identify market potential by qualifying accounts.
  • Strong customer relationship-building skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Aptitude for reading parts manuals, vendor catalogs, understanding blueprints, and effectively communicating technical information.
  • Must be able to work in an industrial and manufacturing environment as required.
