Sales Manager Job Description

Xometry is a leading digital marketplace for manufacturing, connecting buyers with global manufacturing capacity. We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to lead our Account Executive team in managing an existing book of business, retaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and growing the base through retention and upsell.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and customer engagement.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, focusing on conversion of inbound leads into customers and management of existing business.
  • Oversee sales pipeline management, tracking and evaluating activities at each stage.
  • Coordinate sales and operations teams to assist reps in winning deals and ensure seamless coordination to optimize sales processes and outcomes.
  • Monitor and motivate team productivity, implementing best practices in sales pipeline management to maintain high team morale and performance.
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in CRM-Salesforce, utilizing CRM tools to manage and analyze sales activities and pipeline health.
  • Supervise team in accordance with company policies and procedures, conducting employee interviews, orientations, and hiring of staff.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development to enhance team's skills and product knowledge.
  • Report to senior management on sales metrics and opportunities, using data-driven insights to forecast revenue and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our ideal customers and tailor sales strategies to improve customer engagement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and 3+ years of experience managing a sales team.
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedication to providing great customer service.
  • Ability to train, develop, grow, and lead a sales team to success.
  • Eager and driven to exceed goals.
