Our Lexington office at Burns & McDonnell is seeking a skilled Distribution Systems Engineer to lead our Distribution Modernization team.

This role involves working on complex utility distribution projects, from 4kV to 40kV overhead and underground systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with distribution system equipment, field data, and GIS information to inform design decisions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and drafting engineering deliverables for multiple projects
  • Preparing and developing distribution voltage construction packages
  • Coordinating work with team members and stakeholders

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 7 years of industry experience, with 4 or more years of distribution experience preferred.

Knowledge of telecommunications, renewable energy, and advanced technologies is a plus.
