This position in Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) presents a unique opportunity to engage in the enhancement and modernization of nuclear energy facilities utilizing cutting-edge control technologies available in the market. You will play a pivotal role in both leading and assisting various controls projects, emphasizing technical execution and proficient project management. These initiatives will necessitate collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop digital systems including PLC, DCS, HSI, and networked computer systems.
  • Draft functional and implementation requirements as well as procurement specifications for control systems within nuclear plants.
  • Engage with clients to guarantee effective project execution and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and assess technical reports, calculations, and studies, ensuring clarity and conciseness to meet client specifications.
  • Oversee resource management and develop task completion estimates and budget forecasts.
  • Assist in the proposal development process.
  • Review and create diagrams and schematics for new and upgraded control solutions.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals from a technical standpoint.
  • Collaborate with vendors to conduct document reviews, confirm equipment compliance with specifications, and witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on behalf of clients.
  • Support the implementation of projects at client facilities.
Your role will primarily involve working at nuclear facilities.

Essential skills and experience include:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in the design engineering of instrumentation and controls systems within a project team setting, focusing on integrated and detailed system design modifications.
  • Professional Engineering license is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems for effective systems design.
  • Experience serving as a client liaison in a support or lead engineering capacity.
  • Proficient in reviewing design documentation.
