Position Overview: This role is vital to QCI's core mission of developing scalable, high-performance quantum computing systems. Our quantum hardware, based on superconducting circuits, necessitates specialized handling, microwave measurement, and comprehensive data analysis. The control systems we utilize incorporate tightly integrated instrument control, real-time feedback, and low-latency digital interconnects. Your contributions will significantly influence the operational efficiency of our quantum systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop RF control systems tailored for our quantum computing applications (operating between 2GHz to 12GHz).
- Identify suitable components and engineer RF control systems to fulfill defined performance criteria.
- Create firmware and software for RF control systems, including instrument control, digital signal processors (DSPs), and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
- Conduct testing and validation of RF control systems to ensure compliance with performance specifications.
- Offer technical assistance to both internal teams and external clients, addressing troubleshooting and resolution needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of RF control systems into broader system architectures.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and development of RF control systems.
- In-depth knowledge of RF principles and techniques, including amplifiers, mixers, modulators, and demodulators.
- Experience with microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs, along with the capability to develop associated firmware and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
