Anecdotes is a B-round startup that is pioneering the Compliance Automation sector for rapidly growing companies. We are committed to ensuring that credible, visible, and actionable data forms the basis of every Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team's decision-making process. Our mission is to assist enterprises in gathering and standardizing data from a multitude of SaaS tools, cloud infrastructures, private networks, databases, and more, enabling them to maintain continuous visibility into their Security Compliance posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research, prospect, and qualify potential clients within designated territories in the US and Canada.
  • Schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives that translate into viable pipeline opportunities.
  • Utilize sales and lead generation tools (such as Gong Engage, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc.) to identify prospects and engage them through multi-touch inbound and outbound sequences.
  • Develop a robust pipeline by initiating conversations and fostering relationships with potential clients through various methods, including cold calling, personalized emails, LinkedIn outreach, and events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on monthly campaigns and inbound/outbound initiatives.
  • Partner with an Account Executive to prospect key target accounts within your territory.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Located in the US or Canada and available to work during standard business hours.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven; able to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strong time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and focused, capable of managing daily tasks in a remote setting with team members across various time zones.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales.
  • Possesses a proactive attitude, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong work ethic; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with CRM and Sales Engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Gong Engage, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.).
  • Previous experience as a Sales Development Representative or Business Development Representative in a SaaS startup environment, preferably within the cybersecurity sector.
  • Familiarity with the enterprise sales process, including personas and sales motions; a proven history of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Experience in the security and compliance domain, ideally with knowledge of GRC compliance.
  • Understanding of Cloud services and the Application Development lifecycle, as well as Cloud Security.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
