Position Overview

The Account Director will serve as the primary liaison for client accounts, providing strategic guidance and leadership to junior team members. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the Ad/MarTech landscape and the ability to craft compelling narratives that enhance client visibility in the media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, establishing strong relationships built on trust and strategic insight.
  • Design and implement effective strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Stay informed on industry news and trends, sharing relevant insights with clients and teams to capitalize on media opportunities.
  • Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of services and adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define client KPIs and ensure performance metrics are achieved quarterly.
  • Work closely with portfolio leads to ensure projects are executed within budget and resource constraints.
  • Contribute to financial management by monitoring profitability and resource allocation, while identifying potential risks.
  • Develop strategies for media engagement, audience outreach, and influencer collaboration.
  • Support business development efforts by creating and presenting proposals to prospective clients.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, fostering their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote the agency's mission and values.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in public relations and marketing, with a strong grasp of media relations and corporate communications.
  • Extensive experience with adtech/martech clients, capable of translating technical capabilities into engaging media narratives.
  • A proven track record of securing high-profile media coverage across various sectors, including retail and business.
  • Experience in managing client campaigns and overseeing project deliverables.
  • At least two years in a leadership role, managing multiple client accounts.
  • The ability to provide constructive feedback and insights to clients, even when opinions differ.
  • Experience leading a team of public relations professionals.
