About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our team at Cascades Verdae as an Executive Director. This is a unique opportunity to lead and direct a vibrant and engaging living environment for our residents and a great place to work for our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the community to create and maintain a high-quality living environment, ensuring exceptional resident satisfaction and team member engagement.
  • Set a leadership example for others to follow and oversee day-to-day business operations, ensuring operational efficiency and strong financial results.
  • Develop and monitor the community's annual operating budget and business plan, ensuring achievement of financial targets and quality standards.
  • Partner with directors to ensure that service delivery in each department is consistent with our company standards and applicable regulations.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication strategies throughout the community, ensuring timely and effective sharing of information and a culture of openness.
  • Lead and participate in the planning and execution of effective orientation for new team members and ongoing learning and development of team members through in-services and other training programs.
  • Participate in family and resident communications to ensure strong relationships and open exchange of information, holding staff accountable for proactive, positive communications with residents and their families.
  • Establish and implement safety protocols in the community, setting a strong example and holding team members accountable for practicing a culture of safety.
  • Continuously monitor the building, grounds, and surrounding areas to ensure that the community is a safe, clean, and attractive living environment for our residents and presents an exceptional impression for guests.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, geriatrics, health care, hospitality, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a senior living, hospitality, health care, or related setting, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of five years' leadership experience in senior living and/or a multidisciplinary team environment, operations experience in a senior living, hospitality, or residential care environment strongly preferred.

An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 25 pounds.

May be exposed to minimal to moderate noise.

May be required to work extended periods of time at a computer terminal.

May encounter difficult situations, including contact with mentally ill and deceased residents.

Travel

Local and out of state travel, including overnight stays, may be required from time to time to attend conferences, training, meetings, and professional development programs.
