Job Summary:
The Sales Director - Vacation Experience will be responsible for supervising the total sales effort of the resort's timeshare sales and upgrades, as well as supervising sales-related personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience in timeshare sales and management, and will be able to implement sales strategies to maximize profits while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate morning sales meetings to ensure a productive day for the sales team.
- Train Sales Managers to ensure they have the necessary skills to succeed in their roles.
- Supervise the sales floor, coordinating the Guest Service Representatives and Sales Managers to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Pitch and sell Westgate Resorts to prospective buyers to sell and upgrade weeks.
- Supervise assigned sales staff, including hiring, terminations, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and development.
- Maintain liaison with other resort-level departments to facilitate customer service and maximize sales efforts.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests and staff.
- Enforce sales-related policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Ensure sales activities meet or surpass profit plan.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Sales Director - Vacation Experience will supervise all sales center staff, including the ability to discipline with input regarding hiring and firing. They will also provide input on the performance of their duties, their interaction with sales representatives and customers.
Qualifications:
- Timeshare sales experience and management experience as determined by the Executive Director of Sales.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
