About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Smithfield Foods. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide administrative support and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to routine inquiries and requests from employees and management.
  • Process HR documentation, including I-9 compliance, and maintain accurate records.
  • Schedule meetings and training sessions, and prepare correspondence as needed.
  • Monitor facility time and attendance, and initiate corrective action as required.
  • Assist with orientation and exit interviews, and compile feedback for improvement.
  • Perform special assignments and projects as required, and serve as a visible business partner on the production floor.
  • Assist with HR-related compliance audits, including SMETA/SWA.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions and requirements.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Previous Workday/HCM system experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual preferred.
