We are currently seeking a Precision Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our advanced manufacturing assembly department. This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday, with standard hours. The role entails the assembly and construction of precision machinery, automation systems, and motion control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute mechanical assembly and testing of machinery and devices that require precise alignments and measurements, adhering to both 2D and 3D assembly drawings as well as written protocols.
  • Identify and rectify issues with products returned from the field.
  • Suggest and implement enhancements to processes and equipment aimed at reducing costs, boosting efficiency, and improving safety standards.
  • Assist in production activities as necessary to meet departmental objectives.
  • Guide and mentor fellow technicians in assembly, troubleshooting, and product testing.
  • Document failures and defects in accordance with company quality assurance procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve quality, safety, and productivity targets.
  • Be prepared to work overtime as required to fulfill production schedules.
  • Engage with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering on fixture development, process enhancements, corrective actions, and other initiatives to promote continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to 5S and lean manufacturing principles within an ISO 9001 certified environment.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory; an Associate Degree or certificate in a technical field such as electronics or mechanical technology is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in completing assembly and testing documentation for regulatory and quality control purposes.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Competence in performing intricate mechanical tasks, including precision alignments and measurements.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to prioritize work effectively.
  • Skill in analyzing and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong organizational capabilities.
