About the Role

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our advanced manufacturing assembly department in Hopkinton, MA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the build and assembly of precision machinery, automation systems, and motion control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Mechanical Assembly and Testing**: Assemble and test machinery and devices requiring precision alignments and measurements, in accordance with 2D and 3D assembly drawings and written procedures.
  • **Troubleshooting and Repair**: Diagnose and repair problems with product returned from the field, and propose and implement process and equipment improvements to reduce cost, increase efficiency, and improve safety conditions.
  • **Collaboration and Mentorship**: Support production activities as required to achieve departmental goals, mentor other technicians in assembly, troubleshooting, and testing products, and report failures and defects via company quality processes.
  • **Continuous Improvement**: Collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering on fixture development, process improvements, corrective actions, and other measures to drive continuous improvement within the group.
  • **Adherence to Quality and Safety Standards**: Follow 5S and lean manufacturing principles and practices in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
Requirements
  • **Education**: High school diploma or GED is required; Associate Degree or certificate in a technical discipline in electronics, mechanical, or related technologies is preferred.
  • **Experience**: Minimum 5 years' experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • **Skills**: Ability to read schematics and technical drawings, perform complex mechanical tasks, and analyze and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems.
  • **Communication and Organizational Skills**: Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
