Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our advanced manufacturing assembly department in Hopkinton, MA. This full-time role involves the build and assembly of precision machinery, automation systems, and motion control systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform mechanical assembly and testing of machinery and devices requiring precision alignments and measurements.
- Diagnose and repair problems with products returned from the field.
- Propose and implement process and equipment improvements to reduce cost, increase efficiency, and improve safety conditions.
- Support production activities as required to achieve departmental goals.
- Mentor other technicians in assembly, troubleshooting, and testing products.
- Report failures and defects via company quality processes.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or certificate in a technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Ability to perform complex mechanical tasks and precision alignments and measurements.
- Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
