Your Role
You are an accomplished Cyber Security Policy Specialist with a strong passion for crafting and executing effective Insider Threat trigger policies. You possess a solid history of working with stakeholders, evaluating policy performance, and refining alert trigger protocols to boost threat detection capabilities. Your deep technical knowledge in User Activity Monitoring (UAM) endpoint policy formulation, coupled with your outstanding communication and analytical skills, empowers you to significantly contribute to our client's security objectives.

In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting a federal agency by developing, implementing, and managing Insider Threat trigger policies. You will collaborate closely with Insider Threat analysts and various stakeholders to ensure the optimal functioning of threat detection systems while conducting performance assessments and supporting ongoing inquiries.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in UAM endpoint policy formulation for both classified and unclassified networks.
  • Extensive knowledge of Forcepoint UAM and proficiency in creating Insider Threat trigger policies.
  • The ability to translate written specifications into configurations for deployment to host-based UAM systems and/or security client software.
  • Strong scripting capabilities to develop effective trigger policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate the impact of trigger policies on enterprise infrastructure and services.
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Expectations

Initial 30 Days

  • Acquaint yourself with the existing UAM framework, trigger policies, and security goals.
  • Engage with Insider Threat analysts and stakeholders to comprehend their requirements and operational necessities.
  • Commence the development and implementation of Insider Threat trigger policies utilizing your Forcepoint UAM expertise.

Next 60 Days

  • Assess the effectiveness of current UAM trigger policies and perform trend analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct efficiency evaluations and gap analyses of the trigger policy inventory, eliminating redundancies and streamlining alert trigger protocols.
  • Develop and test new trigger policies within stringent timelines to address emerging security challenges.

Final 90 Days

  • Become a vital contributor to the client's Insider Threat detection and mitigation initiatives.
  • Continuously collaborate with personnel and stakeholders from various offices to enhance the trigger policy process.
  • Support ongoing investigations by identifying data sources and unique methods for evidence collection related to Insider Threats.

This position necessitates the candidate to possess an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance and a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+CE or its equivalent.
