About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Coordinator to join our team at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of technical cooperations and providing specialized advice and support to the Public Employment Services (PES) members of the SEALC Network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of technical cooperations, including RG-T3541 and RG-T4455.
  • Provide specialized advice and support to PES members of the SEALC Network in identifying their technical assistance needs and recommending suitable providers.
  • Assist in the preparation of studies, reports, and presentations on labor market topics, including access to employment, skills development, and job creation.
  • Support the organization of events and workshops on labor market topics.
  • Receive and respond to requests for technical assistance from Ministries of Labor and other counterparts in the region.
  • Support the technical and logistical aspects of publishing the SEALC Network's knowledge products.
  • Organize and coordinate webinars with regional and extra-regional experts to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Prepare terms of reference for technical assistance requests and coordinate the hiring of technical personnel and consultants.
  • Support the follow-up of technical assistance and prepare progress reports.
  • Coordinate activities with SLC/LMK specialists and monitor the development of agreement letters and contracts.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in economics, public administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in labor market projects.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, with additional knowledge of French and Portuguese desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
