Technical Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrated experience in (3-5 years) providing service desk support.
- Assisting with server management and support for laptops, desktops, and workstations.
- Offering application support as needed.
- Managing all aspects of personal computer (PC) coordination, planning, implementation, and assistance.
- Delivering technical services to ensure the operation and maintenance of desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, and peripherals.
- Acting as a liaison between users, IT services, and the supported user organization.
- Providing guidance and technical assistance to all employees and contractors.
- Receiving initial customer service requests for all IT services, including network and server support.
- Creating and escalating Tier 3 tickets for requests beyond Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
- Resolving customer service inquiries via telephone, desktop consultations, or remote management tools.
- Providing direct desktop support when necessary to resolve user issues.
- Imaging, deploying, troubleshooting, and repairing desktop and mobile devices.
- Offering basic telephone support, including connecting phones and troubleshooting issues.
- Managing conference room support, including scheduling and troubleshooting user meeting requests.
- Identifying, creating, and updating standard operating procedures for Tier 1 and Tier 2 activities.
- Creating, updating, and closing tickets for all incoming support requests.
- 3+ years of experience in a helpdesk environment providing tiered support.
- Familiarity with Federal policies and mandates, subject to updates and changes.
- Experience in maintaining desktop computers, notebooks, tablets, smartphones, and peripherals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, Tableau, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop), and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Frequent communication with end-users is required, necessitating the ability to exchange accurate information. The individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for a significant portion of the time.
Work Environment:The work is primarily conducted in a climate-controlled setting with minimal safety or health hazards. The role is mostly sedentary, involving sitting, walking, and occasional lifting. Frequent near vision use for reading and computer work is necessary, often in a fast-paced environment.
