Position Overview
We are in search of a strategic and results-driven Manufacturing Operations Manager to spearhead our production team in Sedro-Woolley, WA. This role is crucial in overseeing each production sector within our facility.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Direct and manage all production departments to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Exhibit strong skills in production planning and scheduling to achieve set production targets.
- Possess expertise in steel fabrication and guide team members throughout the fabrication process.
- Interpret and comprehend shop drawings and welding specifications.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to synchronize production timelines with client delivery schedules.
- Oversee resource allocation across departments to address shared resource challenges.
- Implement comprehensive production schedules and activities for the facility.
- Utilize ERP systems for effective production planning and scheduling.
- Monitor production milestones to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Lead and mentor production department foremen, resolving any obstacles that may arise.
- Work alongside quality assurance teams to uphold stringent quality control standards.
- Proactively address production disruptions and adjust plans as necessary.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a comparable role within a manufacturing environment.
- A solid background in production planning, scheduling, and capacity analysis.
- A history of achieving production goals and delivering projects within established timelines and budgets.
- Exceptional organizational and strategic planning abilities.
- The capability to analyze and enhance production processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems for production management.
- Familiarity with quality control systems in a manufacturing context.
- Experience in structural steel and industrial fabrication is preferred.
- Knowledge of 3D design software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD is advantageous.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Work Environment
This role entails moderate physical activity within both manufacturing and office settings. The employee will alternate between working at a computer desk and navigating the factory floor, which may involve walking significant distances and interacting in dynamic environments.
