Position Overview
We are currently in search of a skilled CDL Driver & Receiving Handler. The ideal candidate will possess a Class A CDL, with a minimum of two years of driving experience and a spotless driving record. This role requires a collaborative spirit, as the individual will also support the Receiving Team during non-driving periods.

Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties (Approx. 70%)

  • Conduct haul runs that may involve commutes exceeding one hour.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring safe vehicle operation in line with company and DOT regulations.
  • Perform routine safety checks on equipment, adhering to company SOPs and OSHA standards.
  • Engage professionally with warehouses, providing timely updates regarding delivery schedules.
  • Execute a schedule of regular local runs between clients.
  • Accurately count products during loading and unloading processes.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Receiving Duties (Approx. 30%)

  • Assist the receiving team with various tasks when not driving, including:
  • Document management, tracking, and reporting.
  • Adapting to changes in work plans and schedules as necessary.
  • Loading and unloading materials efficiently.
  • Undertake other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record for the past three years.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a CDL driver.
  • Proficient in using navigation tools such as GPS and smartphone applications.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Forklift operation experience is advantageous.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This role involves moderate physical activity within a manufacturing setting. The employee must have full mobility in both upper and lower body, be capable of standing for extended periods, and perform driving tasks. The position requires navigating around obstacles and climbing stairs, as well as lifting up to 70 pounds or maneuvering materials for inspection. Exposure to typical shop conditions such as noise, dust, and fumes is expected.

Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from $25.00 to $35.00, depending on experience.
