Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our innovative building solutions team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for CNC programming, Python, and a desire to grow into a detailing role. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, be comfortable working under tight deadlines, and have excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Program CNC machines, specifically for lasers and Python plasma cutters, to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Generate DXF files from 3D models to facilitate CNC machining processes, ensuring seamless integration with our manufacturing workflow.
- Collaborate with the shop team to correct cut files as required, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
- Strive to learn and develop skills in detailing by actively engaging with experienced team members, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Embrace opportunities for professional growth and actively participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with the 3D modeling and detailing team to understand project requirements, ensuring accurate and complete drawings are delivered.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to supporting team members and colleagues, providing assistance beyond assigned responsibilities to foster a collaborative work culture.
- Organize and maintain databases of information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
- Research product knowledge as needed to ensure accurate and complete drawings are delivered.
- Maintain electronic and written files in a neat and orderly manner, adhering to company standards.
- Maintain documentation in Excel and Word as required, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Familiarity with CNC programming for lasers, including experience with Python plasma cutters.
- Ability to create DXF files from 3D models, ensuring seamless integration with our manufacturing workflow.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to the detailing process, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in CNC programming, ensuring high-quality products are delivered.
- Proficient in SolidWorks, with experience in CAD drawings and 3D modeling.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey details and specifications to the production team.
- Ability to manage multiple project deadlines, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely delivery.
- Ability to be self-directed, working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to problem-solve as part of the daily routine.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, meeting management goals and objectives.
- Ability to work well with others, participating as a team member to achieve common goals.
- Strong communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in standard office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written, is required for this position.
- Previous experience in CNC programming or related roles, with a strong understanding of detailing principles.
- Basic understanding of detailing principles, with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Enthusiasm for acquiring new skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Willingness to learn from experienced team members and take on challenges, demonstrating a proactive approach to professional growth.
- Proficient in beam plasma or tube laser programming, with experience in CMS Programming (beam laser programming).
This position requires moderate physical activity, primarily in an office environment. The employee will be seated at a computer desk, utilizing the telephone frequently, and participating in meetings with colleagues. The office has stairs, and the factory setting may involve inspecting and handling materials, exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
