Job Summary

Janicki Industries is seeking a highly skilled Welding Engineer to join their Metal Tooling team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Welding Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the fabrication of various aerospace tooling, scaffolding, lift equipment, and boiler fabrication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with Management and Production staff to enhance production processes and facilities, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Process Development: Develop new production processes to streamline composite tooling and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Technology Implementation: Implement new technologies introduced by Research and Design into production processes, driving innovation and improvement.
  • Manufacturing Coordination: Coordinate manufacturing processes on the Production Floor, ensuring smooth operations and meeting production targets.
  • Quality Control: Review project instructions and blueprints to ensure quality control, maintaining the highest standards of excellence.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate production times, costs, and staffing requirements for management decisions, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance to new Engineers on the Production Floor, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
Requirements
  • Citizenship and Clearance: U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident Status required, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Education and Experience: B.S. in Welding or Welding Technology with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD/CAM systems, and ERP software, with experience in manual machining processes and metallurgical processes.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as CWI or NDI Level 1 are preferred, but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: A competitive salary ranging from $68,000 to $145,000, based on factors like experience, education, and skills.
  • Additional Benefits: Additional pay for off-shifts, discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits.
