Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our team at Dogwood Industries LLC. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a CNC robotic plasma cutting structural fabrication system to manufacture innovative prefabricated steel structures for industrial use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret shop drawings to determine machining requirements, dimensional specifications, setup, and operating procedures.
  • Safely handle and move steel materials to and from the processing area using material handling equipment.
  • Operate the PythonX CNC machine, including power button and switch control, to process steel beams, channels, and square/rectangular tubes.
  • Secure workpieces and adjust stops and guides for proper alignment.
  • Initiate machining operations by depressing buttons, toggling switches, and monitoring numerical displays on the control panel.
  • Verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts by comparing data on the process sheet with numerical displays.
  • Adjust machine performance by turning dials and switches as needed.
  • Inspect first-run pieces and spot-check subsequent pieces for conformance to specifications, following quality control procedures.
  • Organize materials and job packets to minimize changeover time and optimize production efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience as a CNC Machine Operator in an industrial setting.
  • High school diploma, general education degree, or vocational degree.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Dependability, trustworthiness, positive attitude, and willingness to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including extended hours and occasional weekends.
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $34.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
