Position Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified CDL Driver & Receiving Handler. The ideal candidate will possess a Class A CDL, with a minimum of two years of driving experience and a spotless driving record. This role demands a collaborative spirit, as the individual will assist the Receiving Team during non-driving periods.

Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties (Approx. 70%)

  • Execute haul runs that may involve commutes exceeding one hour.
  • Maintain open communication with customers, addressing inquiries while ensuring safe vehicle operation in accordance with company and DOT regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety checks on equipment, adhering to company SOPs and OSHA standards.
  • Professionally interact with warehouses, including timely notifications regarding delays in scheduled drop-offs or pickups.
  • Follow a structured schedule for weekly local deliveries.
  • Accurately count products during loading and unloading processes.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Receiving Duties (Approx. 30%)

  • Assist the receiving team with daily operations when not driving, which may include:
  • Managing documentation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Adapting to changes in work plans and schedules as necessary.
  • Loading and unloading materials.
  • Executing other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record for the past three years.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a CDL driver.
  • Proficient in using navigation tools such as GPS and smartphone applications.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
  • Forklift experience is advantageous.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
This role involves moderate physical activity within a manufacturing setting. The employee must demonstrate full mobility in both upper and lower body. Responsibilities include standing for extended periods, driving, navigating obstacles, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 70 pounds. Exposure to typical shop elements such as noise, dust, and fumes is expected.

Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from $25.00 to $35.00, depending on experience.
