The Role:

Dematic Corp. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Supervisor to join our team.

Minimum Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in electromechanical systems and troubleshooting with PLC controls, servos, and other discrete electrical components.
  • A minimum of five years of maintenance experience with electromechanical equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to connect a maintenance PC to a PLC, navigate the PLC program to troubleshoot complex control failures, and implement minor code adjustments under engineering guidance.

> Continuously monitoring customer satisfaction levels and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
> Modifying or developing programs to enhance productivity and quality.

> Defining workflows, job roles, and reporting structures to achieve optimal effectiveness.
> Making decisions that can significantly impact business operations.
> Potentially developing departmental budgets and strategic plans for the functional area.
> Evaluating and suggesting improvements in methods or procedures within the area of responsibility.
> Identifying resource requirements and justifying them.
> Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
> Recommending organizational structures and supervisory relationships for the segment of the company.
> Ensuring the overall success of functions or projects.
> Providing customer service guidance and complex support for products and their programs.
> Coordinating with other internal departments to fulfill customer needs.
> Capable of creating reports and communication materials to track performance issues and demonstrate ongoing improvements in maintenance and operations of material handling equipment.

> Engaging in standard professional-level work that typically involves processing and interpreting complex, less clearly defined issues. Identifying and resolving readily identifiable, clearly defined problems.
> Successfully defining workflows, job roles, and reporting structures to achieve optimal effectiveness. Decisions made can have a moderate to high impact on business operations.
> May recommend or determine organizational structures and supervisory relationships for the segment of the company.
> Capable of assuming the responsibilities of the site manager in their absence.

What We Are Looking For:
Education:
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree.

Knowledge and Experience:
> Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to managed work groups and their support of related operations.
> Shows understanding and application of supervisory techniques for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary actions.

Typically possesses 5-8 years of successful experience in a directly related field, demonstrating the Key Responsibilities and Knowledge outlined above.

Direction of Others:
Typically oversees non-exempt administrative or technical employees and/or lower-level exempt employees.

Key Working Relationships:

Primarily involves intra-organizational contacts and external interactions.
