Job Summary

**Job Title:** Aquatic Facility Maintenance Specialist

**Job Summary:** Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Aquatic Facility Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and performing maintenance and repair to the district's aquatic centers and related facilities and equipment to ensure safe and sanitary conditions. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining pool chemistry and participating in projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain aquatic centers and related facilities and equipment
  • Perform maintenance and repair to ensure safe and sanitary conditions
  • Maintain pool chemistry
  • Participate in projects as assigned
Requirements:
  • Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years' experience in the maintenance of swimming pools containing over 300,000 gallons of water
  • Experience in plumbing and electrical
  • Basic computer knowledge
Licenses and Other Requirements:
  • Valid California driver's license and evidence of insurability
  • Must possess and maintain a current Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or successfully obtain the certification within the first six (6) months of employment
  • The ability to swim is a requirement
